The Call of the Wild is a little slice of wilderness carved into the Highland Perthshire Hills, where you stand amongst ancient giants, hear tranquility, and breathe in a land lost in time. The ancient granny pines and junipers that blanket the landscape are home to the last breeding grounds of the Northern blue damselfly, it’s not just the damselflies that call us home, we have an amazing array of very special visitors from Fritillaries in summer to wax wings in winter and our resident pine martin, red squirrels and our pair of ravens.
The call of the wild is our dream of a wilder future, one that’s hand in hand with nature, living as sustainably and as self-sufficiently as possible, creating areas for growing chemical-free food and flowers, whilst working with the land to enhance biodiversity and protect and regenerate the incredible SSSI woodland.
A selection of informative and inspiring Call of the Wild courses as well as experiences, and accommodation and the opportunity to create a magical wedding celebration.
There are a series of trees for the future gifting options. You can also meet Rue and Hamish, who will personalise a message for those owl lovers and a shop with lots of lovely goodies for you.
With love

Highland Outfitter- tailored for generations to come.
The kilt is so rooted to nature that designing a Call of the Wild tartan seemed like an obvious next step, creating a colour palette to harness the seasons also sparked the imagination of Hamish and his youngest son Nicholas who, as true Scotsman are passionate about highland wear, and how to wear it. Highland Outfitters launched in March 2024 as sister company to Call of the Wild, offering a private, bespoke, tailoring experience based here at the farm.
